A familiarly firm, 'highland' style aroma from this one to begin. One which included cooking and mechanical oils, tool box rags, aromatic burlap, nettles and a touch of manzanilla sherry style salinity. We also noted pine wood, mineral oil and shoe polish.

Water brought out aged mead, salted honey, dried flowers, aniseed and malty shilling beers. The neat palate was richly textural and waxy. Lots of herbal medicines, bandages, hardwood resins, putty, lanolin and cough mixtures. Water brought out notes of new leather, mentholated tobacco, dried herbs, bouillon stock, orange peel and various fruit teas.
